Abalone Marine & Exploration is a family owned company determined to deliver outstanding live aboard charters. We cater to your needs and desires for an outstanding experience. Whether your passion is Sport Fishing, Spear Fishing, Wreck Diving, Photography, Whale watching, Kayaking, Hunting or Research, we can fill your needs. We are booking trips for next year so reserve your place early. We are based near Juneau Alaska, in Tenakee Springs, a ferry ride or short Seaplane trip from Juneau, and travel to places such as the San Juan Islands, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and anywhere in SE Alaska.

About the Boat

The Anela is a 102 Ft yacht and can accommodate up to 12 passengers in comfort. We have a large LCD projector for your viewing pleasure as well as a 32”LCD screen for viewing your photos or videos. Our Scuba compressor can easily keep your tanks filled with Grade E air. We have extra freezer space to keep your catch so you can send it home or take it with you. We will prepare it for you so you can enjoy it fresh. We have side-scan sonar on board for finding that new dive site or wreck. Reserve the whole boat for your group and travel with friends or family and plan your own itinerary for a great personal experience on the inside passage.

About the Region

The average summer temperature is about 65 degrees in July.  Winter brings mixed snow, rain, and sunshine with a Winter mean temperature of 24 degrees.

Southeast Alaska's maritime climate is relatively mild, cloudy, wet weather. Along the inside coast from Juneau to Ketchikan about 50% of the days have rainfall. However, the rain is seldom heavy enough to cancel outdoor activities.
